XCL Annual Dinner
The “Lebanese Nationalist Movement” held its annual dinner at "Simaar L Baxr" on Thursday the 13th of August(09), and declared the theme of the work plan for the next season. The youth commander Richard Abi Chahla introduced the Lebanese Identity as the main focus of the movement. Movement commander Elie Hawi focused on the the historical background of Lebanese Nationalist Movement, especially since the formation of the State of Great Lebanon after the fall of the Ottoman Empire, throught the years of the first independence, then the millitary manifestation of Lebanese Nationalism when needed, and finally the emergence of the Movement of Lebanese Nationalism from the need to guard the Lebanese identity today, when no one else dares to openly declare it. Mario Khoury, the students' officer in the "Liberty Front (LF)" announced the beginning of a common project between the LF and the XCL, targetted to gather Lebanese youth and students on common causes within a Lebanese Youth Front (LYF).

XCL Conference about Lebanese detainee in Syria (13-03-09, Hadath ).
The “Lebanese Nationalist Movement” and the “Christian Democratic Party” organized a convention in Al saideh church, Hadath concerning the Lebanese detainees in the Syrian and other prisons. Mr. deputy Ibrahim Kenaan, the president of Solide - Ghazy Aad, and the head of political sciences department in Al Hikmeh university Father Kamil moubarak lectured about their own vision concerning this issue while updating the attendees with their latest actions taken. During this convention, Mr. Charles Sarkis declared that the “Lebanese Nationalist Movement” and the “Christian Democratic Party” are in the process of bulding a campaign in order to symbolically declare Father Albert Cherfan as candidate for the 2009 parliament election.
XCL General Meeting of the Command Commitee (07/09/2008, Naas Bekfayya)
The command commitee of the Movement of Lebanese Nationalism held a general meeting in Naas, Bekfayya, descussing the latest matters concerning the party's stands on the current political events in the Lebanese arena, and formulating a workshop time table for the comming parliamentary elections.
